El Paso Trolley Company Tours
Ciudad Juarez, Mexico

El Paso Trolley Tours of Juarez, MexicoIf you want to stay on the beaten path in Juarez, take one of the El Paso-Juarez Trolley Company's Border Jumper Tours.  The trolley leaves the Civic Center in El Paso every hour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week.  As of 12/2002 the trolley stopped at 8 sites of interest.

Passengers are free to linger in a location of interest and simply hop on the next scheduled trolley.  Prices were $12.50 for adults $9.00 for children, and free for children under 3.   Prices, of course, will change, and the 2002 prices are offered only to give you an idea of how reasonably priced this service actually is. For current information, visit their web site at http://www.borderjumper.com or call them at (915) 544-0062.

The El Paso-Juarez Trolley Company may be offering a different mix of destination at the time of your visit, but these are some which have been on the schedule in the past.

Scheduled Stops:

  • Silver Castle near Avenida de Las Americas and Hermanos Escobar, offering silver jewelry, furniture, and paintings.
  • Colon's on Avenida Lincoln:  silver jewelry, watches, sunglasses, furniture, and paintings.

Author's note: Antibiotics and a number of other drugs requiring prescriptions in the United States can be purchased over the counter in Mexico for a fraction of their cost in the United States and legally brought back with you to the United States.  It's recommended, however, that you check with U.S. Customs in El Paso at (915) 872-5710 before making your purchase. Some drugs available in Mexico are illegal to bring back.

You may call  (915) 544-0062, and the trolley company will provide free shuttle services from the following hotels in El Paso:  Radisson Suites, Airport Hilton, Howard Johnson, Marriott, Embassy Suites, and the Holiday Inn Airport.  Call (915) 544-0061 for information on scheduling or any other questions you may have.  The trolly company accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and even ATM cards.
