Supermarkets - Ciudad Juarez, Mexico
First of all, we are only showing you two
locations of the great supermarkets available in Ciudad Juarez.
SMart has dozens of locations, and the Soriana chain is almost
equally easy to find. You will find about everything you are
used to in these supermarkets, and the prices will astound
you. I bought 4 12 oz. jars of instant coffee recently for
$1.80 each! In addition, these stores also offer hundreds
of Mexican products you have never seen before --- everything
from exotic spices to produce.
S MART
Probably the most popular supermarkets in Ciudad
Juarez are the S Mart stores. Look for this logo almost anywhere
in the city. S Marts have all of the products you are used to
seeing, plus, like any Mexican supermarket, many interesting
food products you may have never seen before. This store is
located at Ave. de la Raza and P. Elias Calles.
Hipermart
My favorite place when prescription drugs
are needed, Hipermart is located on Paseo Triunfo de la Republica
in the San Lorenzo area at Fray Marcos de Niza. Just about
anything you need in the way of groceries, electronics, or
household goods can be found here. You can take the bus from
Ave. Juarez and Ave. Vicente Guerrero downtown. Just look
for any bus with the word "Hipermart" written on
the windshield.
