The examination was conducted in a nice
clean room with the same equipment I remembered seeing when
I had gotten the last exam in Las Cruces. (By the time I
had paid for those glasses, though, with tax the
total had been $140.)
Your eye test will be the same drill as
it is anywhere: reading the lowest line of letters you can
see while the technician flips the lens around in the examining
machine until you tell him the settings are just right.
Your technician may speak only Spanish, but the majority
of New Look Opticas customers are Americans, so they are
used to getting business done efficiently language differences
notwithstanding.

Right after the exam, I was told my glasses
would be ready in one hour. After lunch at Tacos Lucas I
returned. It turned out to be a little over an hour, but
that's still exceptional service.
So the next time you need eyeglasses or
contact lenses you can have a quick exam, enjoy a nice lunch
or do a little sight-seeing while you wait, and come home
with the same high quality product you would pay much more
for elsewhere. I feel sure the other optical stores in Juarez
provide good service for great prices as well, but I could
not have been more pleased with New Look Opticas.
