Restaurant Mariscos d'Mazatlan - Ciudad Juarez, Mexico
Mariscos
D’Mazatlan is not a famous restaurant among seafood
lovers on the border for nothing. Seafood is “mariscos”
in Spanish, and I had to wait until I was not hungry to write
this page or I might have just gotten in my car and driven
to Juarez to eat there tonight. It’s location on Avenida
de las Americas near the Free Bridge makes it a perfect place
to stop either on the way in or out of town.
The restaurant is decorated with a floral
motif throughout and has a sunken dining room in the center
of the main room and an elevating dining level to the left
as you enter. This picture shows a section of tables on the
elevated dining floor. This restaurant is definitely a favorite
of Juarenses because I have rarely been there when it was
not busy or even crowded.
This photo shows Mariscos d'Matazlan's Camarón
al Ajo (garlic shrimp). Like all of the shrimp plates,
as you can see the meal is served with salad, hot bread, and
mashed potatoes with the shrimp laying over a bed of rice.
Nor is this bland rice but has a wonderful flavor all of its
own. Click on the photo to get a better idea of how perfectly
these shrimp are cooked and seasoned.
