No doubt it required well over a million dollars
to create this kind of atmosphere. If elegant surroundings
is high on your criteria for a fine restaurant, I do not believe
you will be disappointed.
The night of my visit to the Shangri-la no
time was available for a full course meal, and I had made
the mistake of wearing blue jeans and a bluejean jacket. I
was seated and received excellent service but felt somewhat
out of place as the other male customers were wearing suits
or at least jackets and slacks.
