More Information About Ciudad Juarez, Mexico
Perhaps
the most frequent question I have been asked by visitors to Juarez
is where can one find a street map. It took me a while to find a
good map, too, but I finally did, and you can even get
one right here.
For those who are addicted to their email and the
internet, there are reviews of three internet
cafes.
It also cannot be overlooked that a visitor in
a foreign country could need emergency services and have no idea
of who to call. So there is a page which has contact
numbers for police, fire, and ambulance services,
as well telephone numbers and the address of the American Consulate.
Also, a few tips about dealing with the Spanish
language seemed appropriate, a page which I hope
to find time to expand soon, for nothing about my personal adventure
in Mexico has been more interesting than the slow process of learning
another language, on the fly, with no alternative but to give it
my best shot.
The Tourism
Office at the Chamizal Park is a great source of
additional information about Juarez, as well as the many trips deeper
into Mexico from which Juarez is the logical departure point, such
as the Copper Canyons, which are twice as large as the Grand Canyon.
Finally, a few words about the
people in Juarez was not simply appropriate, but
essential if the visitor to this site is to gain any inkling about
what is to be found here. |
