In August, 2007, the traffic at the bridges leading back to the US was really unbearable, and I took a room at the Maruca for a few hours sleep before crossing. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least...
For $42 I got a small but very smartly furnished room with an air conditioner which chilled the room in a matter of minutes, which was a very welcome development since it was over 100 degrees outside.
