I can't conclude this review of Arte en el Parque without introducting my hosts Karen Alamo and Jorge Ruiz. I could not have been more impressed with their willingness and ability to provide translations or to make me feel welcome. Karen apologized a couple of times because she could not find the right word in English, never dreaming her English surpassed my Spanish by a factor of at least 100 to 1. It was really great to meet them both, and I hope one day I can return the favor.
My only regret was not being able to return for the evening's entertainment. The program called for a performance of parts of the the "Hair" rock opera and "The Lion King". I'm sure it was a great performance, judging by the quality of the what I did see at Arte en el Parque!
